As a result of our clients expansion plans, and continued ongoing success we are seeking a dynamic Supply Chain Project Manager to be based at a Head Office in Plymouth.

This role will be pivotal in providing expertise in project management and coordination across multiple projects that impact the wider business growth plans. The candidate will be a key part of the leadership team in planning, communicating and delivering project plans against deadlines. The candidate should be able to work largely independently and with the initiative to seek out how to partner with, unlock barriers and drive value into the business. Proactive organisation and communication skills will be essential to ensure smooth running of projects, scheduling and hosting meetings across levels of the organisation, including senior leaders, providing clarity on progress and escalation points as needed.

This role will be office based, with some requirement to travel to operational sites as needed.

Main Responsibilities:

Project Kick Off:

Provide detailed project requirements for sign off by stakeholders.

Scheduling the timelines of the project with key dependencies.

Set out daily/weekly project update communication mechanisms.

Define stakeholders required and maintain positive working relationships.

Project Management:

Managing the project from start to finish.

Scheduling and hosting project updates across stakeholders

Communicating proactively updates and where barriers need resolving.

Assisting testing and trials as part of the project deliverables.

Implementing changes into the live environment.

Provide handover support and transition post deployment.

Documentation & Reporting:

Monitor and update all project documentation for completeness, accuracy and version control.

Attend meetings and minutes / action points to ensure project teams and plans maintain clarity and accountability.

Respond to queries from various stakeholders in a timely manner.

Leadership:

Acts as a single point of contact for all assigned projects.

Ensuring thorough understanding of all elements of the Project Team to provide effective and informed service to all stakeholders.

Represent the Project Team at meetings, communicating with proactive clarity to senior leaders.

Person Specification:

Essential Skills and Experience:

Experience in use of Agile methodology.

Proven track record of high level of oral, written and visual communication skills

Organisational skills to lead across multiple projects against deadlines, prioritising tasks.

Experience working in a laser focused customer service environment.

Proven ability to lead across multiple stakeholders and in a matrix environment.

Self-starter with the curiosity to learn, intuition to deep dive and keen eye for detail.

Self-solver with the confidence and ability to seek out creative solutions and remove barriers to provide solutions/options.

Team player with ability to work proactively and positively across a diverse group.

Experience hosting meetings and driving progress, holding others to account.

Document management, knowledge of MS Office Suite of products.

Influencing and negotiating skills; experience leading senior leaders across multiple departments

Ability to travel on occasions to operational sites as required, with overnight stays where needed.

Desirable Skills and Experience (not essential):

Experience of working within Retail/operational network of physical stores and online.

Experience working with WMS/ERP tools and leading systems-based projects.

Experience in using project management software.
