About the RoleButler Rose are working with a well-established manufacturing organisation who are seeking an experienced Sustainability Manager to lead and drive sustainability initiatives across their business processes. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape and implement key strategies, ensuring alignment with international sustainability standards while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Main ResponsibilitiesAs the Sustainability Manager, your primary accountabilities will include:

  • Developing, leading, and supporting strategies for improving Environmental, Social, and Governance standards.
  • Ensuring alignment of ESG initiatives with sustainable goals and international standards.
  • Providing prompt and reliable responses to third-party sustainability-related enquiries.
  • Acting as a leadership role model by demonstrating strong communication, training, teamwork, and recognition in line with organisational values.

Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for:

  • Designing and executing a comprehensive sustainability roadmap.
  • Conducting stakeholder analysis reviews and ensuring effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Performing materiality analysis to identify and address priority sustainability issues.
  • Driving the operationalisation of targets and integrating improvements into management systems.
  • Implementing updated policies and procedures related to sustainability.
  • Collaborating with the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) team to maintain compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Ensuring readiness for Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) requirements.
  • Leading decarbonisation projects across the business processes.
  • Calculating and publishing emissions data, including product life cycle analysis (LCA).
  • Engaging with suppliers to strengthen supply chain due diligence and sustainability efforts.
  • Raising awareness and fostering commitment to sustainability across the organisation and its partners.
  • Sharing best practices and building knowledge within the organisation.
  • Reporting progress to the HQ steering committee bi-monthly.
  • Monitoring and providing monthly updates on key strategic metrics.

RequirementsThe ideal candidate will have:

  • A strong background in ESG and sustainability leadership roles.
  • Knowledge of sustainability reporting standards and regulations.
  • Experience with stakeholder engagement, policy development, and decarbonisation initiatives.
  • Proficiency in emissions calculations and product life cycle analysis.
  • Excellent project management and leadership skills.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to inspire commitment to sustainability.
