We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated MOT Vehicle Technician to join our clients skilled team.

Our client is an approved MOT testing centre and uphold the highest standards in vehicle inspections and repairs. We are looking for a qualified and experienced MOT Vehicle Technician to join the team, contributing to commitment to excellence and safety on the road.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct MOT tests in line with DVSA regulations, ensuring all vehicles meet the necessary safety and environmental standards.
  • Diagnose and repair vehicles as needed following MOT tests, addressing any issues identified during inspections.
  • Perform general vehicle servicing and repairs, including brakes, exhausts, suspension, and other mechanical systems.
  • Use diagnostic equipment to assess and resolve vehicle issues efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work carried out, including MOT test results and any corrective actions taken.
  • Provide clear and professional advice to customers on necessary repairs and maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Keep the workshop clean, organized, and equipped with the necessary tools.

Requirements:

  • Qualified MOT Tester with a valid MOT testing license (Class 4 and 7 preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician, with strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualification (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of DVSA regulations and MOT testing procedures.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Valid drivers license.

Candidates shortlisted will be required for a trial morning to show your capabilities.

The role is contracted to 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 08:00 17:30 with the option to do an extra Saturday.
