Optimum Recruitment Group are proud to be working exclusively with thisfast paced, service sector client based on the outskirts of York who are looking to appoint a Finance Assistant to the team. This is a newly created additional role within the team due to growth.

Reporting into the Finance Manager, the Finance Assistant will support the business in a number of areas of transactional accounting including purchase ledger, sales ledger and query resolution.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the purchase ledger invoicing.
  • Reconciling creditor statements with PL and requesting copy invoices if required.
  • Dealing with volume email and telephone queries through to completion.
  • Managing the sales invoice processing.
  • Managing customer returns.
  • Chasing outstanding purchase orders.
  • Provide cover for other Finance team member during holidays.
  • Assist with ad hoc tasks for the Accounts Department by mutual agreement with the Finance Manager.
