Preceptorship Registered Mental Health Nurse ( RMN )
Location: Clydach, Swansea
Salary: £18 - £21 per hour + paid breaks (£35,100 - £40,950 per annum based on 37.5 hours per week)
Hours: Full-Time and Part-Time available (Choose between 24 or 36 or 48 hours per week - 2, 3 or 4 shifts)
Shifts: Day shifts (12.75 hours 7.45am - 8.30pm), Night shifts (11.75 hours 8.15pm - 8am), or Mixed (rotational) - Flexible options to suit your preference

Summary:
Appoint Healthcare is proud to collaborate with a leading national provider of health and social care services, delivering exceptional support to adults with mental health needs and learning disabilities. We are seeking a Registered Mental Health Nurse ( RMN ), Registered Learning Disability Nurse ( RNLD ) or Registered General Nurse ( RGN ) to join our expert multidisciplinary team in a 26 bed specialist care home located in Clydach in Swansea that caters for adults with acquired brain injury, dementia learning disabilities, neurological and mental health conditions.

Role Overview:
As a RMN, RNLD or RGN in our 26-bed specialist complex care home, you will deliver compassionate, patient-centred care while maintaining the highest clinical standards.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Assess residents' physical, psychological, and social needs, considering lifestyle, gender, and background, and create individualised care plans with patient, family, and team involvement.
  • Continuously evaluate care needs, ensuring care plans and records are current and accurate; seek to improve care delivery.
  • Communicate the ageing process clearly and how it affects health and lifestyle, conducting daily visits to assess and maximise residents' comfort, dignity, and independence.
  • Lead and supervise multi-disciplinary shift teams, including staff orientation, appraisal, training, development, coordination, support, and performance evaluation.

 

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Valid NMC registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse ( RMN ), Registered Learning Disability Nurse ( RNLD ) or Registered General Nurse ( RGN ).
  • Experience in mental health care, particularly with challenging behaviours.
  • Strong communication, administrative, and computer skills.
  • A compassionate, person-centred approach to care.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and teamwork.
