Fast growing SME operating in the construction sector is looking to appoint a Group Financial Controller.
With year on year growth and a turnover approaching 20m this is the No.1 finance role on site reporting to the business owners.
The role is based in Pontefract with hybrid working on offer.
The Group Financial Controller will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations, leading the finance team and taking responsibility for preparing and reviewing management accounts, board reports, cashflow management and forecasting.
We are looking for a self starter who is qualified or qualified by experience who can lead the finance function and provide operational and commercial support to the Board with future development for this role to become a Board level Financial Director post.
Responsibilities as Group Financial Controller;
* Budgeting & Reporting.
* Lead and support the finance team.
* Prepare and review management accounts, P&L statements, balance sheets, and forecasts.
* Compile and present board packs, providing financial insights and strategic guidance.
* Oversee daily cash reporting and ensure financial stability.
* WIP & P&L Analysis: Generate and analyse project profitability reports.
* PAYE, VAT, CIS submissions, payroll, and pension management.
