We are recruiting for an exciting opportunity which requires a marketing & media manager to strengthen the existing team of 3 and support the commercial director with rolling out the strategy. The organisation manages a variety of sports teams and whilst the team execute the marketing strategy, a manager is now required to manage the day to day work and delegation and bring structure and organisation to meet deadlines and prepare for sporting fixtures. This role has an increased focus on digital marketing and social media along with writing match reports, the whole team contribute to this however this will be requirement of the marketing and media manager to write some reports and magazine content and also oversee the write ups from the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with sporting teams to create and deliver content for the marketing plan working on digital activities, social media, website, and e-marketing activities.
  • Work with the media team to manage the social media channels
  • Deal with sensitive news in a confidential and timely manner
  • Create content for the online channels to help promote events, networking and community engagement in both written and video format.
  • Work alongside Graphic Designer to deliver original and engaging artwork.
  • Editing and writing content for their monthly magazines
  • Supporting the team to promote and enhance relationships with the sporting partners including writing partner stories and organising partner media opportunities
  • Attending external events to promote a variety of sporting events

Desirable skills and experience (not all essential)

  • Experience in a marketing and media role, managing digital marketing, content creation and implementation.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with media.
  • Experience of working or playing in a live sport
  • Excellent organisation skills

The role will suit a highly organised person, who can juggle numerous tasks while having the ability to prioritise workload when other projects come in that need quick attention.
