DEVELOPMENT MAINTENANCE MANAGER

Our prestigious client is a globally recognised manufacturer known for excellence and distinguished as an exceptional employer.

They now require a Development Maintenance Manager who will have a primary focus on advancing the engineering approach of the site.

The successful candidate will lead the preventive maintenance strategy to optimise the performance of plant and equipment by employing a problem-solving approach that targets the reduction and elimination of recurring or persistent issues.

Additionally, this position will be pivotal in enhancing and implementing safe systems of work policy and processes, ensuring that safety remains a cornerstone of the daily operations in the engineering function.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE DEVELOPMENT MAINTENANCE MANAGER WILL INCLUDE:

  • Lead, motivate, and develop direct reports using core values and performance management.
  • Enhance the business's development aspect by creating and executing an asset care strategy.
  • Utilize critical thinking and data analysis to engineer out losses and drive improvements in the site's assets.
  • Lead asset criticality analysis to align engineering strategy with operational goals.
  • Establish user-driven maintenance to enhance production efficiency and encourage autonomous maintenance.
  • Implement asset standardization through centralising for precise machinery adjustment.
  • Plan tasks and allocate resources efficiently according to the business calendar for proactive interventions.
  • Assist in maintenance, repair, and operations inventory planning.
  • Establish and manage the site's technical library to improve asset standardization and maintenance management.
  • Foster a strong partnership with the Performance Maintenance Manager to ensure alignment in asset care strategy.


PERSON REQUIREMENTS:

*Demonstrated experience as a Maintenance Manager or equivalent in a high-paced manufacturing environment
* Engineering qualification at HNC or Degree level
* Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and TPM methodologies
* Strong operational and financial acumen with budget management capabilities
* Track record of successful capital project execution and proficient project management skills
* Familiarity with equipment, suppliers, and service providers
* Engineering Planned Maintenance Systems
* Exceptional meeting, negotiation, and presentation abilities
* Advanced IT skills, including MS Office suite and proprietary systems
* Effective time management and planning skills
* Proven coaching and mentoring capabilities
