Contracts Manager

Residential Property Repairs - Yorkshire

£35 - 40k plus electric car (or allowance) / pension / generous bonus

We are looking for a Contracts Manager to join an expanding and successful building contractor in or around the following areas (Leeds, Wakefield, Pontefract, and Selby). You will be overseeing a caseload of residential repairs / property reinstatement projects following fire, flood, escape of water, impact damage etc.

Works are already surveyed, scoped & approved, the Contracts Manager will then be responsible for the planning, programming, day to day management, profit and final accounts on each project. You will manage a small dedicated admin & trades team who will work on your portfolio of projects together.

Job role and responsibilities

This role will suit an experienced Contracts Manager who has worked within the insurance claims repairs industry OR within residential responsive repairs/maintenance/voids etc. You will have full operational responsibility for the day-to-day planning, scheduling and management of projects with key clients (project values will vary depending upon the successful candidate’s experience).

  • Planning & programming residential reinstatements following insured damage
  • Managing spend & profit budgets on each project
  • Monitoring all KPI’s and SLA’s
  • Allocating and scheduling resource (PAYE direct trades and sub-contractors)
  • Manage and monitor variations to the contract, ensuring delays are minimised and profitability is achieved
  • Dealing with any issues arising and managing any complaints
  • Ensuring Health & Safety regulations are met

What skills/experience will you need?

For this role you will need to demonstrate experience in managing property repairs projects from inception to completion. You will need a strong background in residential property building/refurbishments (ideally trades background) and have had experience in managing direct trades.

A full UK driving licence is required (car or allowance provided) and you will need to have good IT skills (systems training provided).

Package details

In addition to the Contracts Manager salary (negotiable dependent upon experience around £35k - £40k) you will receive a new electric company car (or car allowance if required), paid holiday, pension and opportunity to earn a very generous bonus.
