I am currently seeking an experienced and qualified Reception Teacher to join a great school in the Pontefract area on a long-term, part-time basis that will run until at least the Easter schools...potentially until the Summer school holidays, and starting as soon as possible!

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons tailored to Reception-aged children, ensuring a diverse and inclusive approach that caters to individual learning needs.
  • Create a positive classroom environment that promotes active learning, development, and a love for learning among students.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to both students and parents.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine effective teaching strategies and resources.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and achievements.
  • Actively participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities to enhance educational practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential.
  • Proven experience in teaching Reception or early years, with a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a dynamic team, demonstrating flexibility and a passion for teaching.
