Our client, a leading organisation in the Manufacturing sector, is seeking a Finance Manager to join their team.

JOB TITLE: Finance Manager

COMPANY: Manufacturing

CONTRACT: Permanent

HOURS: 8am - 5pm (1hour lunch)

START: ASAP

LOCATION: Pontefract

SALARY: 55,000 - 65,000

In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Core Finance Team, overseeing the preparation of management accounts, managing cashflow, and ensuring tax compliance. As the Finance Manager, you will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team and director to lead and motivate your team as well as prepare monthly management accounts.

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT EXCLUSIVE TO:

  • Lead and manage the Core Finance Team, including the preparation of management accounts and departmental packs
  • Collaborate with other finance managers and teams to ensure efficient financial operations
  • Create budgets, maintain forecasts, and oversee risk management
  • Manage internal and external audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards
  • Oversee UK cashflow, including foreign exchange transactions
  • Review and train members of the team, providing guidance and support
  • Ensure timely and compliant filing of taxes, including VAT, CT, and P11d

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

  • ACCA/CIMA* qualification is essential for this mentoring role (*or equivalent)
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards
  • Experience with tax filings, including P11d, CT, and VAT (including customs)
  • Detail-oriented with a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience
  • Previous staff management experience is preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Nav Dynamics and Sage Payroll is preferred
