As the Transport Shift Manager, you will be responsible for the effective management of all Drivers and Admin staff at the South Kirkby depot. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining our high standards of excellence.

General Responsibilities:

Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring that planned routes are as cost-effective as possible, while complying with the Working Time Directive and Drivers Hours regulations.
  • Planning, directing, and controlling the activities of the transport planning team.
  • Generating optimal transport plans and approving transport routes.
  • Monitoring transport management software.
  • Collaborating with branch teams and customers on delivery logistics and addressing any issues.
  • Serving as a crucial link between customers and operational teams.
  • Developing cost-efficient operational transport plans daily, using customer-specific IT software.
  • Ensuring that the department consistently delivers a top-notch service to customers through meticulous planning.
  • Maintaining strict adherence to budget constraints.

  • Assisting in project work to optimise schedules and synergies.
