NextGen Teachers are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a SEN School in Wakefield (Pontefract) who are looking for a SEN Support Worker to start as soon as possible on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will have a passion for supporting children with multiple and complex needs who are aged between 11 - 19 years.

The school are looking to meet candidates next week and are looking for staff who have experience working with children with complex needs.

SEN Support Worker roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support the students with their learning and daily routines in both indoor and outdoor provisions.
  • Support children with Multiple SEN needs
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment by managing behaviour, promoting respect, ensuring the safety of all students and differentiating the deliverance of the learning.
  • Support the student with their social, emotional and physical needs as well as help support them with their learning.
  • Evaluate pupil progress through various assessments and provide constructive feedback to support their learning journey, both to the pupil, other staff and have good clear and concise communication with parents/carers.
