Job Description
As a Panel Wirer, you will play a vital role in assembling electrical control panels and power distribution units. Using your skills and experience, you will:
- Fit electrical components and wiring based on schematics and drawings.
- Build and assemble power distribution units using hand and power tools.
- Perform elements of panel testing.
- Work with single and three-phase systems and busbar assemblies.
- Fault-find and repair as necessary.
Skills & Experience
To excel as a Panel Wirer, you should possess:
- Experience with single and three-phase systems (essential).
- Previous panel wiring experience (highly desirable).
- Familiarity with busbar assemblies and electrical testing (highly desirable).
- Ability to read and work from electrical and schematic drawings.
- Control panel experience (essential).
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving aptitude, and time management skills.
- A recognised apprenticeship or 18th Edition certification is preferred.
