Toolmaker duties will include:

  • Ensuring that tooling is serviced and set up to the correct specification.
  • Making certain that all tooling is available for production with all necessary equipment and fittings in line with production requirements.
  • Control of spare parts and materials required to maintain tooling.
  • Ensuring records and all documentation required for compliance are completed.
  • Carry out repairs to tooling as required, utilising in-house and external resources.
  • Development of processes, including trialling of new moulds, in conjunction with other stakeholders.
  • Liaising with production, technical, quality and maintenance departments to ensure equipment is maintained to required standards.

To apply for the Toolmaker role, you will need:

  • Previous experience working as a toolmaker or in a mechanical maintenance capacity maintaining production tooling.
  • A relevant engineering qualification (BTEC, HNC, NVQ, etc.)
  • Experience with all relevant toolroom / workshop equipment such as lathes, millers, grinders, etc.

A shift pattern that includes days (6am-2pm), nights (10 pm-6am), and afternoons (2pm-10pm), with night shifts commencing on Sunday evenings.
