A leading and innovative retail company is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual eager to advance their career in accounting while receiving comprehensive study support for AAT Level 4 and ACCA qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with monthly and year-end financial processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Prepare financial statements, reports, and relevant documentation
- Support the preparation of tax returns, VAT returns, and other compliance filings
- Assist with bank reconciliations, cash flow management, and budgeting
- Help manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring smooth transactions
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records and ledgers
Ideal Candidate:
- Currently studying AAT Level 3 or equivalent, or working towards AAT Level 4
- Motivated to pursue the ACCA qualification and grow within the accounting field
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Excel and familiar with accounting software (experience with specific tools a plus)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments
- Previous accounting experience is advantageous, but not required
