Position Summary: The Remediation Site Manager role requires you to oversee the day-to-day operations on active remediation projects, ensuring that all activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory requirements. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to manage teams and subcontractors on-site. In this key role you will be responsible for delivering remediation projects on time, within budget, and to the required standards. This will require you to identify and address any issues or challenges that arise during remediation activities and develop solution in the field to keep the project on track.

You will be expected to spend most of your time on active remediation/construction sites, noting that we work nationwide. Occasionally you will be expected to work closely with junior and senior colleagues at one of our two office locations.

Site Management

Oversee the daily operations of remediation projects.

Coordinate and supervise on-site staff, subcontractors, and equipment.

Ensure that all project activities are conducted safely and efficiently.

Project Delivery

Work closely with the wider project team to implement remediation plans and strategies as designed.

Monitor the progress of remediation activities and adjust as necessary.

Ensure compliance with project specifications, schedules, and budgets.

Health & Safety

Prioritise and encourage a positive Health and Safety Culture on site.

Undertake daily safety meetings and regular field audits working closely with our in-house HSE managers.

Monitor, update (as required) and maintain our on-site safety procedures.

Quality Control and Compliance

Ensure each remedial activity meets the required quality standards specified in strategy or design documents.

Conduct regular inspections and audits of site activities

Manage the project in accordance with assigned permit or best practice requirements

Resource Management & Communication

Effectively manage allocated resources efficiently to maintain project budgets

Maintain accurate records of resource utilisation and project expenditure

Provide regular updated to project and contract manager and clients.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor, Masters or (equivalent) degree in Environmental Science/Engineering, Civil Engineering/Engineering or similar or demonstrate through experience a rounded knowledge of remediation

Experience: >10 years experience in the remediation industry with a minimum of 5 years working as a Site Manager.

Certification: Relevant SMSTS or equivalent training, relevant NEBOSH or equivalent training and relatable skills (plant operator tickets, etc.)

Technical Skills: knowledge of remediation technologies, health and safety best practice, etc.

General Skills: Confident communication, problem-solving, and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and teams of multidiscipline staff. Must have a UK driving license.
