Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical Bias with Electrical Knowledge)

Salary: £40000
Shifts: Monday to Friday (6-2 / 2-10)

I'm looking for aMaintenance Engineerwith a mechanical bias and decent electrical knowledge (you know, someone who can wire a motor & dismantle a gearbox without Googling it). Youll be getting stuck into preventative maintenance, emergency breakdowns, installations, overhaulsyou name it.
Its not a cushy desk job. Youll be on your feet, tool in hand, working across an fmcg production environment, keeping the plant running smoothly and safely. Its reactive, its proactive, and its never dull.
What youll be doing:
- PPM and reactive maintenance across plant and site facilities
- Responding quickly to breakdowns (no standing around waiting for someone else to do it)
- Making sure equipment is fit for purpose and safe to use
- Getting involved with machine installs and moves
- Working on single and three-phase circuits
- Keeping things compliant and above board (BRC and H&S arent just acronyms here)
What youll need:
- Recognised Electrical or Mechanical Apprenticeship
- Multi-skilled mechanical bias with solid electrical know-how (NVQ /City and Guilds Level 3)
- Experience in afood / fmcg production environment(bonus points for BRC knowledge)
- Happy to alternate between early and late shifts and cover call-outs when needed
- Health & Safety awareness and risk assessment confidence
