Prichard's are looking to hire experienced and motivated General Foreman.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage, lead, motivate, train and supervise your team of operatives and workers
  • Safety - Supervise and ensure all operatives fully comply and adhere to all company Health, Safety, and Environmental Polices, and Procedures.
  • Deliver site inductions and daily briefings
  • Check drawings to make sure they are correct and up to date with designers
  • Ensure the safe operation of the site
  • Plan works, assist in developing work programmes and place orders for materials
  • Complete and maintain accurate site records of work performed and materials used.
  • To carry out any reasonable task as requested by a member of management
  • Plant Security, Damage and defects - Ensure plant is safely parked and secured on site, with any damage or defects reported immediately.

Key Skills and Requirements :

  • Strong leadership and management abilities
  • Experience of leading, managing and developing others
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure with minimal supervision
  • Understanding of operation and maintenance requirements of plant and machinery
  • Groundwork / earthworks experience
  • Understanding of drawings and specifications
  • Ability to measure and quantify materials, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • Experience in setting levels and measuring up
  • Hold a valid UK driving license
  • Valid up to date CSCS, CPCS or NPORS
  • SSSTS (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of construction processes and techniques
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Attention to detail and quality control
