Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the dynamic mental health team at Royal Glamorgan Hospital. The role will involve working within mental health settings, including a Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), providing comprehensive care to patients with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver specialized occupational therapy interventions in mental health and PICU settings.
  • Assess patients' functional abilities and develop individualized care plans to support recovery.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care and best patient outcomes.
  • Provide advice, education, and support to patients, families, and caregivers.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and manage a diverse caseload effectively.
Requirements:
  • HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Minimum 6 months NHS experience (preferably in mental health or PICU settings).
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience in mental health settings is desirable.
