Job Overview:We are seeking a skilled and motivated Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the dynamic mental health team at Royal Glamorgan Hospital. The role will involve working within mental health settings, including a Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), providing comprehensive care to patients with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver specialized occupational therapy interventions in mental health and PICU settings.
- Assess patients' functional abilities and develop individualized care plans to support recovery.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care and best patient outcomes.
- Provide advice, education, and support to patients, families, and caregivers.
- Maintain accurate documentation and manage a diverse caseload effectively.
- HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
- Minimum 6 months NHS experience (preferably in mental health or PICU settings).
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience in mental health settings is desirable.
