An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Production Supervisor to join a busy, well-established manufacturing organisation in the Pontyclun area. This is a hands-on role, where you’ll lead a dedicated team to ensure smooth and efficient production processes while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate daily production activities to ensure targets are met on time and within budget.
  • Supervise and motivate a team of production staff, ensuring efficient workflow and high morale.
  • Monitor production processes, identifying and addressing issues to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the team.
  • Maintain accurate records of production output, downtime, and any incidents.
  • Liaise with management to implement process improvements and achieve operational goals.
  • Manage stock levels of raw materials and finished goods, coordinating with suppliers as needed.
  • Train and develop team members to ensure skill levels meet production demands.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure materials are available for production in a timely manner
  • Reconcile stocks at the end of a work order and close works orders
  • Coordinate changeovers in-line with production plan and basic fault finding
  • Carry out back-to-work interviews

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a production or manufacturing environment (experience in food/beverage industries is a plus).
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and production demands.
  • Good communication skills and a proactive approach to teamwork.

Hours of work:6.00am - 2.00pm Monday to Friday
