Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor, looking for a challenge that will enable you play a key role in supporting the continued growth of our Contracting department?

This position is essential in understanding scheme financial positions, developing project strategies to maximise potential and reduce risk while ensuring a collaborative relationship with Clients, meeting or exceeding their needs. Working closely with the Commercial Manager and project teams, forging great working relationships, you will be able to operate across several projects of varying values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Key role in projects lead the commercial function working closely with the team, ensuring full awareness of the project position.
  • Change management.
  • Monthly CVR reporting, including cost and value forecasting.
  • Ongoing review of client terms ensuring we adhere to all obligations to achieve client satisfaction.
  • Monitor project output vs budgets Aid the project team in target setting.
  • Valuation and payments achieve correct amounts within contract timescales.
  • Identifying the most appropriate procurement strategy and successful implementation.
  • Working with the team to ensure maximisation of all opportunities and mitigation of risk.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate:

  • Degree level qualification in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
  • Able to form great working relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and customers.
  • Hold a high level of integrity, be open and transparent.
  • Wide understanding of various contracts, in particular, NEC, JCT, ICE.
  • Excellent communicator with effective presentation skills.
  • Have a good understanding of Excel and experience with project cost accounting tools.
  • Significant experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Driven by success.
  • Full driving licence

This role will be based between our South Wales and Bristol offices but will require travel to sites as necessary.

Job Type: Full-Time

Hours: 42.5 per week

Schedule:

  • 8.5 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Education:

  • Diploma of Higher Education (required)
