Science Teacher

An ESTYN-rated Excellent school is seeking a Science Teacher to successfully deliver a pre-formed curriculum ideally covering Biology but we are open to applications to Science Teachers with Chemistry or Physics.

This is a maternity cover position starting in January running initially to Feb half term but has the scope to extend longer for the right educator.

The Role of a Science Teacher:

  • Teach the current Science curriculum across KS3 to KS5, differentiating accordingly to meet the needs of your classes
  • Make Science fun and engaging to encourage the growth of student curiosity
  • Work with other department members to share best practice
  • Follow the schools behaviour management system to set up the best environments that put education at the heart of all interactions, both in the classroom and out


Science Teacher requirements:

  • Hold a UK recognised Teaching qualification, ideally with QTS
  • Be confident teaching Science to KS3, KS4 and KS5 Level Ideally Biology but will consider Chemistry and Physics
  • Have strong communication and organisational skills
  • Be reflective, inquisitive, personable and create engaging lessons
  • Have strong behaviour management skills
