A market leading manufacturer of specialised equipment are currently looking to recruit for a Design Engineer for their family run business. Role & Responsibilities:
The Design Engineer is responsible for ensuring efficient and successful assembly and testing of the special projects. The Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, mechanical/electrical and hydraulic system designs.
- Ensure the provision of efficient high quality engineering design projects
- Offer support and guidance to more junior members of the team.
- Check/review engineering analysis and design to standards
- Assist in mentoring and training the broader team
- Support production during First Of Type (FOT) assemblies
- Prepare, update and compile the latest assembly/build documentation (General assembly, sub-system assembly, schematics and build notes) and prepare a document pack prior to the start of build.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Experience in a previous Mechanical Design Engineering position
- Worked in manufacturing environment
- BSc/BEng Mechanical Engineering or similar
