Job: Production/Labourer OperativeLocation: Pontypool Hours: 7:30 am - 16:30 pm, Monday to Friday (40 hours a week, weekends and shift working may be required) Salary: £11.50 hour Temp to PermHere at The Recruitment Co we are looking for a GRP Finishing & Spray Laminating Production Operative to join a growing team in the pontypool area.This position is a temporary to permanent position. This is an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual who is looking for a new challenge where you can develop your existing skills and knowledge across the business. Reporting to the BCCH Team Leader, you will be mainly working in the GRP department with responsibility for the production of BCCH products, using primarily Finishing, spray laminating and moulding methods, but also hand laminating as required.Description

• Spray Laminate Chimney Coves, Install and laminate flashing channel
• Trimming and finishing
• Preparation of moulds
• Maintain daily & weekly maintenance tasks
• Produce products to quality standards
• Achieve daily work targets
• Working safely and effectively using manual and mechanical method
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain high standard of housekeeping to designated
• On-going personal development and training will be provided
• Operating machinery

Requirements

• Experience of working in a busy production environment
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and the requirements for working with machinery, glues and resins
• Experience and knowledge of engineering drawings and production job sheets
• Experience of producing work to a high standard of accuracy and quality
• Time management skills - organise work and meet deadlines, good timekeeping and attendance record
• Interpersonal skills - good communicator and able to work within a multi-functional team
• Able to work with little supervision following initial training and induction
• Experience with hand held tools
