Health & Safety Coordinator - Part Time

£27,500 per annum pro rata

Monday - Wednesday     08:00 - 17:00, 25.5 hours per week

My client is a renowned manufacturing business based in Blaenavon who due to increased productivity require a NEBOSH Qualified Part Time Health & Safety Coordinator. To be considered for this role you will need to have experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the Health, Safety & Welfare of Employees.
  • Managing & Updating the Company's general Health & Safety in the Workplace on a day-to day basis, incl. Risk Assessments, COSHH Assessments, Fire Safety, etc.
  • Carrying out H&S housekeeping inspections
  • Updating H&S policies and procedures
  • Document and investigate all accidents/investigations.
  • Deliver toolbox talks on health and safety issues to all levels.
  • Maintaining the H&S management system
  • Advising Managers, Foremen and Employees on current Health & Safety Legislation.

Skills, Qualifications and experience required

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to use all Microsoft Office packages is essential.
  • Approachable, very 'hands on' and must be comfortable in spending time on the shop floor.
  • A calm, assertive and firm attitude is vital with the ability to work under pressure and without direct supervision.
  • NEBOSH General certificate with experience in all areas of workplace Health & Safety.
