Network Engineer – Hybrid/ Newport £35,000 - £40,000

We're partnered with a multi-award-winning Welsh health-care organization that is hiring a Network Engineer to join their Networks team. The Network Engineer will be supporting over 10,000 users and over 180 services across over 100 sites. The industry that the organization specializes in is forecasted to expand substantially over the following 5 years.

The position is available due to an internal promotion to a subject specialist role. The Network Engineer will have the flexibility to work from home and over tasks are to ensure the services, SLAs and terms and conditions are fulfilled between the ICT Services and its customers.

Key responsibilities of the Network Engineer are:

- Support the management and maintenance of networking and security systems, including installation, testing, commissioning, and replacement.

- Candidate's knowledge of network and security are supported by theoretical understanding and acquired training.

- Support colleagues with arising issues daily

- Work across the virtual team within the IT operations sector

Key attributes of the Network Engineer are:

- 1+ years' experience in network support capacity

- Strong expertise in Cisco technologies (Routers & Switches, Security, Wifi and Data)

- Great communicative, administrative and time management skills

- Adhesion to Service Level Agreement terms

- Ability to improve processes for service improvement.

- Qualified in at least one of the below: CCNA (R&S), CCNA (WIFUND), CCNA (Security), CWTS/CWNA/CWNP, ACWA/ AWCWP, ITIL V3 Foundation

- Welsh speaking is desired but not necessity.
