Role Overview
The Paint Technician role sits within our OE Operations & Logistics team and has primary responsibility for the painting and refinishing of commercial parts using HVLP equipment ensuring that the parts you produce meet both industry, safety and quality standards. Has a right-first-time attitude and a quality-conscious mindset. Is a self-starter, and pro-active member of the team.
Essential Key Skills & Experience
- Qualified in City & Guilds Level 3 or IMI refinishing automotive industry or be time served with demonstrable exposure to an environment with a similar product finish.
- Good knowledge of paint application techniques.
- Ability to mix and match different paint colours accurately.
- Ability to work with a variety of tools and equipment.
- Able to work to tight deadlines and able to manage self and equipment to meet this
- Experience with safe work practices including the use of proper PPE.
- Experience of ovens use and other drying techniques, including curing temperatures and procedures
- Ability to read and interpret technical instructions, as required.
- A good understanding of health, safety processes and fire awareness is essential.
- A good understanding of quality conformance requirements and continuous improvement
- Be able to work under pressure and prioritize own workload as required.
- Uphold an upbeat "can do" attitude, have a proactive and positive approach, with a desire to succeed both personally and for the business.
Hours and Salary
- Monday - Friday 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm on weekly rotation
- £35,000, with an additional 15% shift allowance after completed probation.
