Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing all financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Managing the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial reporting standards.
- Leading the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, providing strategic insights to senior management.
- Developing and implementing effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations.
- Monitoring cash flow and working capital to ensure liquidity and efficient resource management.
- Coordinating and managing external audits and collaborating with auditors to ensure smooth and timely audit processes.
- Providing detailed financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making, cost control, and profitability initiatives.
- Managing a small finance team, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
- Preparing tax filings, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and managing relationships with tax authorities.
- Working closely with senior leadership to develop financial strategies aligned with business goals.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager, or in a similar role within the financial services industry.
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and financial reporting requirements specific to financial services.
- Strong experience in managing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to guide and mentor a finance team.
- Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
- Detail-oriented with a strong understanding of internal controls and financial governance.
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with relevant professional certifications.
- Experience in tax compliance and managing audits is highly desirable.
