The Role

Based at Head Office, you will report to the Head of Group Financial Accounting and Taxation, managing a Treasury and Tax Assistant alongside providing ad hoc support to the Payroll Manager. This is a pivotal role, where you will drive the tax and treasury function for the organisation and its subsidiaries, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and strategic foresight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement tax strategy and investment policies
  • Act as the go-to expert for all tax-related matters, keeping the organisation up to date with the latest tax legislation
  • Manage the treasury function, ensuring strong returns on assets
  • Oversee cash flow forecasting, cash balances, and deposits
  • Provide guidance on VAT, Global Tax, and Corporation Tax
  • Handle imports, endowments, and trust funds
  • Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions, including mandates, payment platforms, and documentation
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors
  • Prepare Board and committee reports on Tax & Treasury strategy and risk management

Who We’re Looking For:

  • ACCA/ACA qualified
  • A commercially minded professional, focused on finding the best solutions for the organisation
  • Experience operating at a senior level, engaging with a range of stakeholders within a large and complex organisation
  • Proven track record in Tax and Treasury functions
  • Strong strategic vision, with an ability to see the bigger picture and its impact on the organisation.
