Criminal Defence Solicitor/Legal Executive

An opportunity has arisen for a qualified Criminal Defence Solicitor/Legal Executive to join our highly regarded and growing Criminal Department.

Neil Foley & Co have been providing criminal defence services for more than 30 years in the South Wales area and further afield. The successful applicant to join our expanding and supportive firm.

The successful applicant will manage their own caseload, including complex and sensitive matters and will be required to attend Police Stations and Magistrates court to represent clients. Support will be made available to the successful candidate to help build on their caseload and their overall career progression within the firm.

Training will be provided in relation our LEAP case management system and criminal billing.

Skills and Experience

  • At least 3 years PQE in criminal law desirable.
  • Must hold Duty Solicitor status.
  • Must hold Police Station Accreditation.
  • Time management, adaptability and attention to detail
  • Ability to build and maintain strong and lasting client relationships.
  • Proactive and commercially minded, with a desire to generate and service new clients.
  • Motivation to learn and self-develop and progress with this firm.
  • Work and collaborate with the existing team of experienced solicitors and colleagues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft packages and experience with industry Case Management Systems
  • Full UK drivers licence and own means of transportation.
