This role offers the opportunity to manage multi-schedule payroll operations, lead a small team, and drive improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee multiple payrolls, including in-house and outsourced processing, ensuring accurate and timely payments
  • Lead and develop a small payroll team, driving efficiency and high standards
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including HMRC and pension regulations
  • Provide accurate payroll data to support financial reporting and reconciliations
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency
What We’re Looking For:
  • Proven experience managing complex payroll operations with variable pay elements
  • Strong Excel skills, including data manipulation and formula use (LOOKUP/SUMIF proficiency preferred)
  • Experience leading and developing teams
  • Ability to work flexibly, including occasional weekends to meet payroll deadlines
  • Desirable: Experience with defined benefit pension schemes or iTrent payroll systems
