We are seeking a dedicated Part Time (18.5hrs) Payroll Officer to join our Accounting & Finance department in the public sector. The role involves processing payroll, maintaining payroll information, and contributing to the team's financial management objectives as well as the processing, reconciliation & reporting of pensions as another key part of the role.

Description
- Processing payroll by establishing a payroll schedule, collecting, calculating, and entering data.
- Maintaining payroll information by collating, calculating, and entering data.
- Resolving payroll discrepancies by collecting and analysing information.
- Providing payroll information by answering questions and requests.
- Maintaining payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
- Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Profile
A successful Part Time Payroll Officer should have:
- Knowledge of payroll systems and procedures.
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience of administrating pension schemes.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel (essential).
- CIPP qualification / working towards (desirable, not essential)
