This permanent role offers hybrid and flexible working alongside an enhanced benefits package and a salary of up to £80,000.This role is ideal for a pensions expert who thrives in a hands-on environment, is passionate about pensions, and excels at building strong relationships while maintaining a sharp eye for detail.As the Pensions Lead you will be joining a fantastic, supportive team, you will also lead and develop your own direct reports. Your key responsibility will be to manage the company’s pension risks and costs while ensuring a best-in-class approach to pension governance.Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
  • Managing multiple pension schemes (both DB & DC) with 4,500+ members.
  • Providing strategic advice to senior leadership on pension risks, governance, and funding.
  • Ensuring full compliance with legislation, industry regulations, and company policies.
  • Leading a specialist pensions team, overseeing complex pension projects and audits.
  • Engaging with trade unions, actuaries, pension providers, and finance teams to drive pension excellence.
  • Driving pension awareness and engagement strategies to educate and empower employees.
This is a critical role, requiring deep technical pensions expertise and a proactive, problem-solving mindset. You should be a:
  • Strong communicator – able to provide clear, expert guidance on pensions.
  • Detail-oriented leader – capable of managing complex pension schemes and navigating regulatory requirements.
  • Curious and solutions-focused professional – eager to dig deep to find answers and make informed recommendations.
  • PMI qualification (desirable) – or equivalent pensions expertise.
