About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join a well-established secondary school in Pontypridd. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire and engage students in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics across Key Stages 3 and 4.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Science lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Inspire and challenge students to develop a love for scientific inquiry.
  • Assess, record, and report on student progress and attainment.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through differentiated teaching strategies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Science department's curriculum and extracurricular activities.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Participate in parents' evenings, staff meetings, and professional development sessions.


Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Degree in a Science-related subject.
  • Experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 desirable).
  • Strong classroom management skills and a passion for student development.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
