About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join a well-established secondary school in Pontypridd. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire and engage students in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Science lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Inspire and challenge students to develop a love for scientific inquiry.
- Assess, record, and report on student progress and attainment.
- Support students in achieving their full potential through differentiated teaching strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Science department's curriculum and extracurricular activities.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Participate in parents' evenings, staff meetings, and professional development sessions.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Degree in a Science-related subject.
- Experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 desirable).
- Strong classroom management skills and a passion for student development.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
