Working as part of a busy team in a very hands-on role, you will be responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting through to management accounts/financial statements, including audits where required for a variety of entities/businesses which include limited companies operating in the financial consultancy and property sectors.You will be expected to ensure all finance functions and accounting records are maintained accurately and in a timely manner; undertake all prime entry bookkeeping tasks ensuring all income and costs have been appropriately approved, recorded accurately and VAT, where applicable, is correctly treated; administer all payment runs to the required frequency culminating in a weekly bank reconciliation where needed; prepare VAT returns; produce management accounts and year-end statutory accounts files for internal and external audit review and undertake project work as required.The role would suit someone who is working towards their accountancy qualification, recently qualified or qualified by experience with some relevant experience, ideally within accountancy practice. They will also need to be able to proactively prioritise their own work as this role deals with a high volume of information, as well as having the integrity, discretion and the ability to deal with confidential information. Superb communication skills are also required (both written and verbal with attention to detail), as well as the ability to deal assertively with a wide range of people.
