Quality & Inspection Team Leader, Poole, £42,000

Purpose

As the Quality and Inspection Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success and expansion of a well-established, profitable, engineering company. You will support a dynamic team, ensuring efficient workflows, timely delivery of products, and the highest standards of quality.

Key Duties as a Quality and Inspection Team Leader

  • Organising the day-to-day running of the Inspection and Quality department and its team
  • Scheduling work, including overtime to efficiently meet production demands
  • Maximising the capabilities of both the equipment and team
  • Monitoring team performance and quality of work
  • Conducting regular performance reviews with the team and carrying out appraisals
  • Developing the team through face to face training, coaching and mentoring
  • Performing first off, roving and final inspection of components and assemblies and associated tasks
  • Maintenance of QA systems and processes
  • Leading and contributing to technical discussions with peers

Your experience as the Quality and Inspection Team Leader will include

  • Strong experience in quality control and assurance processes within a manufacturing / engineering environment
  • Proficiency in various inspection techniques for machined components
  • Experience identifying inefficiencies and implementing process improvements to enhance productivity and quality
  • Previous management experience would be advantageous
