Your new companyAn innovative law firm based in Poole is seeking to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their team at an immediate start. The role is full-time, temporary, with the potential for this to become permanent. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a growing team and thrive in a fast-paced department.Your new role

  • Processing of client and office payments and receipts on Bankline and Leap (case management software)
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Raising invoices for disbursements
  • Bookkeeping- Rapid pay conciliations
  • Purchase/ Nominal Ledger invoices & payments,
  • Liaising with relevant external parties, regulatory bodies and compliance officers.
  • Handling accounts enquiries
  • Maintaining Xero
  • Any other ad hoc duties required

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience working within a legal practice environment is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong IT and technical skills with experience in accounts software, including Xero
  • Attention to detail.
  • You will need to be able to work independently and happy clearing up queries and requesting information from clients.
  • Flexibility, initiative and enthusiasm.

You will be able to work from home on a hybrid basis of 2 days per week at home and 3 days in the office.
