A great opportunity is available for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a busy, friendly finance team in Poole, on a part time basis. (Approx 20 hours per week)

The Company

Seymour John are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established business in Poole, who are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their finance team, on a part time basis.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Finance Manager, your duties will include:

  • Credit Control including paying invoices and chasing debtors
  • Reconciling company accounts
  • Managing records
  • Performing data entry
  • Identifying and resolving errors in financial records
  • Providing support and reporting to Finance Manager
  • Performing basic office tasks, such as filing, data entry, answering phone calls, scanning etc.
  • Handling communications with customers, vendors and colleagues via phone and email
  • process transactions, journals and updating ledgers
  • preparing basic financial reports
  • Assisting with audits, fact checks and resolving discrepancies
  • Taking expenses
  • Posting financial data and accounts
  • Maintaining and improving the organisations accounting process

Personal Profile

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, be confident using ERP systems and Microsoft Office packages, and possess strong communication skills. This is a great opportunity to join a small, friendly finance team within a well-established business in Poole.
