Tempting Recruitment are working alongside our client, a Public Sector Organisation, who are looking to recruit an experienced Assistant Financial Accountant to join their team based in the Dorset area. JOB DETAILS
  • PAY RATE: £34,000 - £38,000 Per Annum

 JOB SUMMARYIn charge of organising and completing the Group's external regulatory reporting, such as the annual financial reports, VAT returns, and NROSH reports and to provide assistance to the group finance team as needed.JOB DESCRIPTIONThe duties and responsibilities of the role will include:  
  • Help with the compilation of the statutory accounts in compliance with the Group's schedule, providing help for the Group's subsidiary companies. This includes, but is not limited to, arranging year-end reporting schedules in compliance with the demands of external auditors.
  • Help in preparing the Office of National Statistics' annual business, purchase, and economic impact reports, among other returns.
  • To assist the Financial Accountant in putting together the NROSH quarterly filings.
  • Help with the preparation of all entity VAT returns for the group, including their submission, payment, and dealing of inquiries.
  • Prepare the necessary balance sheet reconciliations, taking into consideration the reserve and VAT control accounts.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATEThe successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:
  • Educated to the GCSE and A-Level standards (or equivalent), obtaining English and Maths GCSE passes. A degree in a relevant field or an AAT level three or higher would be advantageous.
  • It is preferred if you are pursuing an accredited professional accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, or ACCA) or are already partially certified.
  • The capacity to evaluate, comprehend, and communicate information succinctly and precisely.
  • The capacity to oversee workload and meet deadlines for output delivery.
