CAD Engineer, Poole, £38,000

Purpose

As a CAD Engineer you’ll be involved in both the design and production of high end, bespoke furniture and structural internals. You’ll have the opportunity to work with a huge variety of materials to ensure each item created is something special.

As CAD Engineer, you will:

  • Ensure drawings and materials are approved and signed off by the client team or Contract Manager.
  • Adhere to procedures for creating, saving, and distributing drawings, cutting sheets, and schedules.
  • Clarify instructions from internal teams or clients and communicate clearly with all stakeholders.
  • Conduct site surveys and submit drawings for review, revising as needed before distribution.
  • Track and report any additional time spent on revisions beyond standard allocation.
  • Ensure timely approvals, sign-offs and distribution of drawings, materials, and samples.

The successful CAD Engineer will:

  • Have strong AutoCAD experience.
  • Be able to communicate clearly and confidently at various levels.
  • Previously have worked closely with multiple departments including production, engineering, procurement and quality.
