Service Engineer

Location: Field-based, from Poole officeSalary: £31,000 to £38,000

Role:Service, maintain, and troubleshoot fire, safety, and security systems, including small installation projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with customers and provide clear reports.
  • Work with the Team Manager to meet client needs.
  • Service and maintain fire alarms, CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control systems.
  • Follow company policies for quality, health & safety, and false alarm management.
  • Be available for 24-hour call-out shifts with the team.
  • Occasionally assist with site surveys alongside installation engineers.

Requirements:

  • Experience with fire, CCTV, and security systems, following industry standards.
  • Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
  • Good communication skills for both reports and customer interactions.
  • Ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
  • Good organisational and IT skills.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety practices.

Desirable:

  • CSCS card (or equivalent).
  • Specific training related to the role.

Working Conditions:

  • On-site work in various environments (indoor/outdoor).
  • Possible night, weekend, or holiday work, and travel.
