Lab Technician (Product Development / Testing)

Location: Poole:

Salary: up to £27,000

Overview: This is a role that is supporting the R&D team, working with product development and product testing.

Client: A leading manufacturer and supplier of bespoke advanced materials.

Successful candidates will beresponsible for the mechanical and analytical test laboratory. You will the support the R&D function in the development of new products. This is to include developing a required product specification that is either based on a customer requirement or specification or if pure R&D, working closely with the R&D chemist.

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level, ideally in composites or other material related subjects with two years’ work experience in a similar role.
  • Practical and hands-on experience of material testing and sample preparation to perform tests such are Tensile S&M, Flexural S&M, ILSS, Compression S&M.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, 6 Sigma and 8D completion, nice to have.
