Our Dorset based construction client is seeking a bright, enthusiastic, proactive, reliable and highly organised Planner/Scheduler to join their friendly team with full support and training at hand.

The ideal candidate will need to come from a contractor background and take responsibility for day-to-day planning, of work and projects throughout the south coast, home counties and London regions (DOE).

Key Responsibilities;

  • Ensuring that all projects are staffed efficiently and effectively and that the allocation of resources is optimised.
  • Develop and maintain detailed schedules.
  • Liaise with project managers to understand staffing needs and project timelines.
  • Manage daily scheduling, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Communicate scheduling details and changes.
  • Analyse data and create reports.
  • Assist with other administrative duties.
  • Build strong relationships with Operators and negotiate regarding schedules managing concerns.
  • Build strong relationships with Clients and Operatives offering a first-class service and resolving any issues efficiently and effectively.

Skills, Knowledge and Attributes;

  • Proven experience (min 12 months) in a scheduling or planning.
  • Effective communicator.
  • Natural relationship builder.
  • Excellent organiser with the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Detail orientated.
  • Self-motivated with a desire to succeed.
  • Proficient user of technology.
  • Enjoys working as part of a team but can also act independently and take on responsibility.
