Planning Engineer

Our client who specialises in Precision Engineering, is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their growing team!
Planning Engineer Roles and Responsibilities:
- Determine and organise optimum manufacturing methods and processes
- Produce workshop job packs to AS9100 standard for release on to the shop floor
- Working to customer specifications and quality standards
- Support production with technical issues
- Identifying and organising tooling requirements for new parts
- Working closely with both customers and suppliers
Planning Engineer Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience in an Aerospace or other (high precision) manufacturing environment
- A good understanding of machining and manufacturing processes
- Previous experience of ERP systems and Excel
- Appreciation of commercial considerations
- Experience in the use of CAD systems (Catia) beneficial
- Good level of understanding of materials and surface treatment processes
Planning Engineer Working Hours:
- Monday - Thursday: 36 Hours
- 08:00am - 16:00pm Core Hours
- Semi flex hours to make up additional hours
