Job Description: CNC Tool and Cutter Grinding Engineer

Employment Type: Full-time

We are looking for a skilled and motivated CNC Tool and Cutter Grinding Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the manufacturing and maintenance of precision cutting tools, ensuring our clients receive top-notch products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Programming and Operating state of the art CNC Tool and Cutter grinding machines: Set up, operate, and program CNC machines (such as ANCA, Walter, or similar) for the grinding and sharpening of cutting tools.
  • Tool Design and Modification: Interpret technical drawings and specifications to create, modify, and optimize tools for a variety of applications.
  • Quality Control: Inspect tools using precision measuring instruments (such as micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators) to ensure they meet industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Tool Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC grinding equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the production, design, and engineering teams to ensure efficient workflow and continuous improvement in tool production.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest tooling technologies, CNC grinding techniques, and industry best practices to improve productivity and tool quality.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven Experience: Experience in CNC tool and cutter grinding, preferably in a precision manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of CNC programming, tool geometry, and grinding processes.
  • Tooling Expertise: Familiarity with various materials, including high-speed steel (HSS), carbide, and other specialized tooling materials.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and precision in grinding and quality control.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with grinding machines, tools, and programs.
  • Team Player: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Certifications: Relevant qualifications in engineering, CNC machining, or tool grinding are desirable but not essential.
