Overview
Are you a skilled and experienced machinist looking for your next challenge? Rubicon People Partnership’s client are currently recruiting for a talented individual to join their team within the machine shop, working with CNC Mill / Turn.
As a machinist, you will be responsible for producing high-quality, precision-engineered components, often for the aerospace, defence and special applications.
Responsibilities
As a machinist, your responsibilities will include:
- Setting up and operating CNC machines to produce high-precision components.
- Inspecting work against technical drawings and specifications, ensuring work meets exacting standards.
- Ensure components are finished in line with industry standards.
- Assisting with component assembly.
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate for this machinist role will have:
- Previous experience with manual and/or CNC machines, ideally within a precision engineering environment.
- Understanding of machine maintenance procedures.
- Experience working with various material grades and selecting appropriate tools for each.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and follow planning requirements.
- Experience with inspection and testing is a bonus.
