Overview

Are you a skilled and experienced machinist looking for your next challenge? Rubicon People Partnership’s client are currently recruiting for a talented individual to join their team within the machine shop, working with CNC Mill / Turn.

As a machinist, you will be responsible for producing high-quality, precision-engineered components, often for the aerospace, defence and special applications.

Responsibilities

As a machinist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Setting up and operating CNC machines to produce high-precision components.
  • Inspecting work against technical drawings and specifications, ensuring work meets exacting standards.
  • Ensure components are finished in line with industry standards.
  • Assisting with component assembly.

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate for this machinist role will have:

  • Previous experience with manual and/or CNC machines, ideally within a precision engineering environment.
  • Understanding of machine maintenance procedures.
  • Experience working with various material grades and selecting appropriate tools for each.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and follow planning requirements.
  • Experience with inspection and testing is a bonus.
