Customer Service Advisor

Location: Poole, Dorset

Hours: Full time - Monday to Friday (shifts between 8am & 6pm)

Our client is a well-known, highly respectable brand with a large following of supporters across the whole of the UK. Our client is very well established and have an outstanding reputation, they are seeking a Customer Service Advisor who can maintain and uphold the strong values when interacting and engaging with any of their supporters and enquirers.

Main responsibilities of the role:

  • Provide exceptional customer service via telephone, email, and postal communication, handling both inbound and outbound inquiries.
  • Meet engagement and stewardship targets within specified deadlines, adhering to performance indicators and service level agreements.
  • Manage administrative tasks related to supporter inquiries and promote relevant products and services.
  • Process various types of donations, including in-memory contributions, using a telephone payment system.
  • Conduct outbound calls to supporters for updates, information sharing, general administration, and fundraising initiatives.
  • Assist individuals with fundraising inquiries, providing support materials and guidance.
  • Accurately record time spent on tasks to support team resource planning.
  • Handle, resolve, and report on all levels of customer complaints.
  • Share best practices with colleagues and champion a strong customer service culture.
  • Undertake other ad-hoc tasks as required.

Skills required to be successful with our client:

  • Experience in a telephone based customer service position would be advantageous.
  • Strong communicator with good empathy and listening skills.
  • Ability to adapt to the changing pace of the role whilst still maintaining accuracy and high service standards.
