CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSOCIATE JOB SUMMARY:As a Customer Service Associate, you will be an integral member of the team, supporting the smooth running of a busy and dynamic department and providing a first-class service throughout.   KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSOCIATE:
  • Supporting the customer order fulfilment process and to be able to offer solutions when orders can not be fulfilled.
  • Ensure that orders are fulfilled within agreed time frames and handle any associated queries or issues that arise, during the allocation and movement of stock.
  • Respond to incoming calls and email queries relating to shipment, delivery, stock updates, or new order requirements etc
  • Management of goods into the business, involving working with Purchasing to ensure goods will be in time for the required orders.
  • Prepare relevant documentsin line with the requirements of exporting goods out of the UK
  • Work closely with both the end customer, external transport / logistics companies, as well as the wider team, to ensure that the customer receives the best service at all times.
  SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
  • Previous experience of working in a similar role is essential – You will need to be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills, have a professional manner and quickly understand the requirements of the customer.
  • A good understanding of business processes and the supply chain desirable.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
  • Previous experience of working on CRM / ERP packages is essential – our client have a very innovative approach and are constantly reviewing their systems and processes – confidence to work with multiple systems, is essential.
  • Strong organisational and administration skills.
